[ mood | confused ]

I'm an incoming junior that registered yesterday for AP Psych and AP Lang. and Comp. Seeing as how I have a week to finish the assignments for both classes, can someone clear up for me what exactly I need to do and what the teachers are expecting. I got the reading material from the school's homepage but I'm still a mite bit confused. Help would be appreciated. :]

Oh, and BTW I'm Stephanie and I moved here from Hawaii.

Hey this is JJ,
I hope I'm not part of some pretend conspiracy by joining this site, lol. For those of you taking AP U.S History next year there is a good deal on ebay. This AP U.S History book is selling for like 2 dollars, and the CD is included. I know these books are usually 30 dollars in stores, so I just wanted to share this link with you all. Man, next year I'm taking like 5 AP's, so I'm sure I won't have a life for my senior year. Peace out!

Pre-Order The Album!

Sound clips from the album are available at www.2amisnow.com in the Media section.

Does anyone in Mr. Shin's 1st period want to trade presidents for the presidential profiles? I got Lincoln, which is easy but kinda boring. If you're interested in trading, comment.

Public Service Announcement: [30 Nov 2004|01:45pm]

[ mood | blah ]

(For those of you who will get this: most unfortunately, this PSA will not contain anything about a Turducken. Sorry.)

As many members of the Grand Ole elJay community have been alerted, both the faculty and administration of Hayfield know about this community. I e-mailed Ms. Baughman yesterday to see what I could do to prevent any scandalous occurrence (such as the one currently going on) from happening again. Seeing as it's my brainchild, I feel that it's time to lay down a couple ground rules and make a general statement or two.Collapse )

Having said all that, I'd like to point out that there are some modifications to the info page.
Questions? Comments? Requests? Have at.

[ mood | apathetic ]

After the general feeling that everything in the class is pretty much pointless, one realizes that they should attempt to pass the course as to not have to take it over again. Except, you don't want to bother anymore.

Any ideas on getting some kind of motivation or at least a will to bother doing work?

OKAY for all the lovely kids reading the Perfect Storm...

figurative language examples

and for Discovery Journal ?#10

--are we allowed to use first person?
I know Ms. Baughmen made a huge deal about never using first person, and never to talk about the "reader".
But this question is, "What part in the book is most memorable to YOU?"

PS: On the left side is supposed to be where we answer the question, give textual evidence. Right side is supposed to be where we answer How & Why, and give commentary. What if the question ASKS how and why? [ex: In the chapter “The Zero-Moment Point,” Junger speculates about how the Andrea Gail met its fate. How was this chapter effective? Why was it important for Junger to include this chapter?) WHICH SIDE DOES IT GO ON?

Question For AP peeps [14 Sep 2004|07:50pm]

[ mood | confused ]

All right. I'm not quite sure how this works...

Hi. I'm Shannon. And I have a problem with AP.

I'm just wondering if anyone has taken AP Studio Art and can give some pointers. I kind of skipped a couple of levels of art to get into this class, and now I'm worried I may have made a mistake. Does anyone have any advice for me?

I managed to survive and even pass a total of 8 APs, so I'm willing to attempt to help if for whatever reason anybody decides they need it. ^_^

Inaugural Entry [12 Sep 2004|05:47pm]

[ mood | dorky ]

YAY! I'm the first to post here. Oh, the irony.

I was in a couple of AP classes during my tenure at Hayfield, so I may be of some marginal assistance. Therefore, I'll read over the entries in this journal and offer any guidance I can, if that's acceptable to all.
